These guys tried. But the installation of our kitchen floor after a dishwasher flood ended up with a finished product that is poorly installed and just doesn't look great (see pictures). Throwing caulk on a jutting out or broken floor board does not a professional job make! The first time they said it would be completely done when I got home, and they left behind a mess of dust, floorboards and transitions that were cracked upon install, all the baseboards uncaulked, and wobbly floors. Even after their other visits where there was a mix of addressing and waving away my concerns, the end product is simply cheap and unprofessional looking. The floor just doesn't look great. We ended up with open nail holes where they nailed down loose transitions, caulk roughly shoved between boards where they had been installed broken or not fitting correctly, and wobbly floors even where we paid extra to replace the subflooring they blamed for the wobble. I would have called them back to try yet again, but ended up despairing that they would actually address the problems. What they said would be a week process stretched out for literally months while I often felt pressured to just let things go that I was not happy about. The end product speaks for itself.

We worked with Junior and Henry with Tom as a project manager. They were easy to contact and when here in person listened to my concerns, answered my questions and did Exceptional professional work on our restoration. Junior and Henry were thoughtful and considerate and respectful of our home and cleaned up after each days work.
Thank you, Kathy, for your kind review. We are glad Junior, Henry and Tom were responsive, respectful and delivered exceptional restoration work. We appreciate you noting their professionalism and how they cared for your home. We will share your feedback with the team.
I cannot overstate how terrible our experience has been with Swift. They were initially great salespeople, and we felt we could trust them with the addition we were building onto our home. Unfortunately, throughout the project they were extremely disorganized and inattentive, and a significant amount of the work that was completed was done poorly or incorrectly based on our agreed-upon requirements. Multiple change orders came up, one of which involving our HVAC system was particularly confusing. We disputed it because we believed we were being charged for costs resulting from problems with the original work and planning. In our original plan, the ductwork in the addition was going to connect to our existing home's ductwork so the addition could run on our existing HVAC unit, which had been replaced only two years earlier. When it came time to run the ductwork, we were told it could no longer be connected as originally planned because the new foundation had been poured over the planned route. Swift characterized this as an "unforeseen circumstance," and a second HVAC unit was installed instead. The resulting HVAC charge was substantially higher than we expected based on our research into the equipment that was installed. We repeatedly requested a detailed breakdown or explanation of the pricing, which never materialized. This was just one example of numerous significant issues we experienced, including unlevel subfloors, incorrect plumbing installation in our shower, an incorrectly installed dryer vent, and other work that needed to be corrected or redone (some of which we ended up completing ourselves). We were also told that removing painting and flooring from Swift's scope and outsourcing that work ourselves should result in a significant reduction to our bill. We did so and paid other contractors to complete all of that work. However, we could not identify the promised reduction in our final billing despite asking for clarification. We found Swift's itemized invoicing extremely difficult to understand. Our original contractor from Swift left the company in the middle of our project, and we were assigned a new project manager, Scott. He and the owner, Darin, came on-site to conduct a walkthrough where we detailed the outstanding work and issues that had not been addressed. Unfortunately, from that point forward, we felt the project-management onus fell on us. When we followed up with Scott on specific items we had already communicated multiple times, we continually had to explain the issues over again. We ultimately requested that the outstanding work be completed before we submitted final payment. Rather than completing those items first, Swift advised us to address them through warranty and informed us that they intended to place a lien on our home if final payment was not made. We have since submitted final payment, and approximately 19 months into this project, these outstanding items remain unresolved. Swift was difficult to work with, disorganized, frequently unresponsive, and we experienced repeated issues with attention to detail. Multiple items had to be redone or corrected over the course of the project. We found the quality of a significant portion of the completed work to be average to poor. To top it all off, they left our site filthy. Overall, based on our experience, I would not recommend trusting Swift with construction or remodeling work.
Hi Julia, Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are disappointed that your overall experience with Swift did not meet your expectations. This was a lengthy and challenging project, and we acknowledge that the departure of the original project manager midway through the job created communication and continuity issues that we could have handled better. While there are details in the review that we see differently and have documentation regarding, we don't believe a public review is the appropriate place to debate those items point by point. Throughout the project, our team worked to address concerns as they were brought to our attention, made adjustments to the final billing, and completed additional work at no charge in an effort to bring the project to a satisfactory conclusion. We'd be happy to discuss your specific situation further, please give us a call at 801-544-5608. We take feedback seriously and will use the challenges experienced on this project to improve our project transitions, documentation, communication, and overall customer experience. — Swift Restoration & Remodeling
Very happy with the finished product and the positive communication. Tom came when he said, got the job completed when he said and made sure I was always in the loop, and completely satisfied with the end product. Nicholas did a fantastic job too. More like swift desolation. Within two days a pipe they were working on burst. I had moved out as they had told me to, so it flooded my entire home over the weekend. It was discovered by my neighbor when their home started flooding too. Every inch of my house was flooded and damaged. It became truly unlivable. Swifts immediate response was to blame me and try to get me to pay for it. I brought in a 3rd party plumber who said "It's 1,000% their fault". Swift's response to this was to deny responsibility, blame me and try to get me to pay for it. Swift has a good reputation, but from what I can tell if a job goes wrong they respond in the worst way possible. I didn't get so much as an apology from them after they literally destroyed my entire home. When you hire a service like this most of us know almost nothing about how they work. It's all built on trust because you aren't an expert and can't really evaluate the quality of their work. But things like this happen and it makes it crystal clear: If there is a problem? Swift will blame you. If it's confirmed to be their fault? Swift will blame you. If Swift destroys your house? They'll blame you without so much as an apology for making you homeless. All they needed to say was "Get a 3rd party to look at it. If it's our fault we'll take care of it. If not we'll work something out with you to get it fixed." I'd have given them 5 stars. Accidents happen and that would have been a reasonable response. Instead they responded in literally the worst way possible. You should work with anybody else because they'll probably not give the worst possible response when something goes wrong. If they do at least it's a tie. The bar couldn't be lower. The only thing Swift about them is that they blame and gaslight. Update: Swift's response to this is not accurate. In 100% of our communication they told me I needed to use my insurance to cover the losses. When I asked them if they had liability insurance they pushed back hard and said "We weren't there when the pipe burst, so your insurance should cover it." Even after a 3rd party inspector investigated they were _still_ telling me that the only sane route was to use my insurance. The response you see below is well written, but 100% performative and completely false.
We are sorry to hear that this was your experience. While we respect your right to share your perspective, there are several statements in your review that do not accurately reflect our communications with you. At no point did Swift Restoration tell you that the loss was your fault. When the cause of the water loss was still being investigated, we discussed multiple options for addressing the damage, including the possibility of involving insurance. Our intent was to help identify the most practical path toward restoring your home, not to shift responsibility to you. As with any significant loss, determining the cause required evaluation of the available evidence and professional opinions. Different explanations were presented regarding how the pipe failure occurred, and those questions were still being investigated at the time. Throughout that process, we attempted to communicate openly and work collaboratively toward a resolution. We recognize that this was a stressful and disruptive event, and we sincerely regret the hardship it caused. However, we disagree with the characterization that we blamed you or refused to engage in finding a solution. Our records show that we reached out directly, apologized for the situation, and offered assistance in addressing the resulting damage. Because this matter involves specific facts and private communications, we will not discuss further details publicly. We wish you the best moving forward.
Scott was a breathe of fresh air. He listen to the issues that had arisen surrounding my tankless water heater and sewer line. Assessed the mold and all condensation lines. Gave me a few pointers to resolve the few problems I was encountering. Wonderful experience. Thank You
