Trash from the flood left outside the house for the whole restoration, worker trash left out for the animals to get during the restoration, blown timelines, lack of communication, and lack of attention to detail. By the end it was a rush to get out and then we saw the forgotten items. Missing grout in many areas, a piece of tile with the grain going the wrong way, caulk used to fill trim where it was rushed, and lackluster wood trim work in an office. Go over the scope of work with a fine tooth comb, watch for revisions/ price changes, and understand there is no cleaning crew post work, the contractors are supposed to clean up after themselves but that will not be enough.
